Listen to what the youth have to say via our Podradio App. Learners and guest speakers of selected South African schools voice their opinions via podcast on a wide range of subjects. Listeners will easily be able to navigate through our Podradio app and decide what Region, School and subject they would like to either download or play.

The 20-30minute podcasts have been prepared by the various selected schools and discuss and debate controversial subjects, current affairs, educational and social matters. The podcasts are extremely interesting and educational and a fresh look at how our youth today see the world.

Download the app as the youth today feel they need to have a voice and be heard and celebrate the fact that they now have a platform to discuss and debate an array of subjects. The podcasts are a true expression of intelligence and emotion as the students “freestyle” the sessions and have named our app “School radio”.

Both Primary and Secondary schools will contribute towards the content onto this app and give the listeners an opportunity to hear how learners think and reason from ages 10-18. We have added selected schools from the Western Cape area first and will add new regions and new schools as Podradio grows.

There will be at least 40 podcasts available to listen to per region on a monthly basis. The podcasts are both downloadable or can be played in real time. It is extremely easy to share the podcast via social media and any app you have downloaded onto your device (Facebook, Whatsapp, Messaging, Email, Gmail, Dropbox, Twitter etc.).

The idea will allow students to experience the world of media. Traditional communications have changed so fundamentally in the last 3 years in SA and statistically there appears to be huge growth in the Blogging and Podcast media environment.

These are some of the typical subjects that the school will be discussing:
Latest Debates, Health Matters, School Sports, Music and Drama, Study Techniques, Relationship issues, Bullying, Kids on Politics, What’s hot what’s not, Teachers corner, Guest Speakers, Curriculum Topics.
